Ligature

Kenneth Michael Trentadue was tortured and murdered on August 21st, 1995, while incarcerated at the Federal Transfer Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was strangled with plastic handcuffs or "flexicuffs."

Above is a photograph taken by the Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office of Kenneth Trentadue's neck. This photograph depicts the groove or furrow left on Kenneth's neck by ligature and clearly shows the cross-tie like impressions caused by the locking mechanism of the plastic handcuffs.

Image 2: Neck Thin 'Tight' Impression from Ligature

These images, close-ups of the neck area, depict the impression left upon Kenneth's neck by a ligature that is inconsistent with a bedsheet but closely matches what one would see from a thin tight plastic flexicuff or 'zip-tie' pulled taught around the neck.

A tight ligature such as this would produce enough force to cause the "acute fracture of the hyoid bone" noted by the Medical Examiner, whereas a bedsheet in almost all cases would not do so.*

Indeed, the fractured hyoid bone in conjunction with “petechiae and purpurea of conjunctiva" (ruptured blood vessels in the eye) prove that Kenney was strangled -- by a person, who we now know was using plastic handcuffs.
